Daejeon is Korea's science city — home to KAIST, research campuses, and a calm, gridded downtown that runs on reason rather than trends. If your idea of a good coworking neighbor is a robotics PhD, you've found your place.

It's also the most central base in the country: KTX gets you to Seoul in an hour and Busan in ninety minutes, which makes weekend trips a rounding error.
