Disclosures

Effective 17 July 2026 · Last updated 17 July 2026

We want Digital Nomads Korea to be a resource you can trust. That means being open about how we make money and how our content is produced. This page explains our advertising, affiliate, and sponsorship practices, and how they relate to our editorial independence.

Digital Nomads Korea (“DNK”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a brand operated by Hoppers Inc., a company established in the Republic of Korea. These disclosures form part of our Terms of Use.

1. Affiliate links

Some of the links on our site and in our newsletter are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for or buy a product or service, we may earn a commission or referral fee — at no additional cost to you. We only include links to products, tools, and services we believe are genuinely useful to digital nomads and remote workers in Korea. Earning a commission never changes the price you pay and does not determine our opinion of a product.

2. Sponsored and partner content

From time to time we may publish sponsored content, paid partnerships, or promotional placements — for example, a feature about a coworking space, accommodation, tool, or event whose provider has paid us or given us something of value. When content is sponsored or created in partnership, we will clearly label it (for example, “Sponsored”, “Paid partnership”, or “In partnership with …”) so you always know.

3. Editorial independence

Our recommendations reflect our honest opinions. Advertisers, affiliate partners, and sponsors do not get to control our editorial conclusions, and paying us does not guarantee a positive review. Where we express a view about a product, place, or service, it is our own. If we ever get something wrong, let us know and we will look into it.

4. Events and partnerships

Some meetups, workations, and events are organised with partners, sponsors, or venues who may support them financially or in kind. Where a partner is involved, we aim to make that clear on the relevant event page or listing.

5. Gifts and review products

We may occasionally receive free access, samples, or complimentary stays to review a product, place, or service. Receiving something for free does not guarantee coverage or a favourable opinion, and we will disclose it where it is relevant to what we publish.

6. Not professional advice

Our content — including anything about visas, immigration, taxes, banking, housing, healthcare, or legal and financial matters — is provided for general information only and is not professional, legal, immigration, tax, financial, or medical advice. Rules change and every situation is different. Always verify current requirements with the relevant official authority and consult a qualified professional before making decisions.

7. Accuracy and currency

We work hard to keep our content accurate and up to date, but details such as prices, visa rules, opening hours, and availability change often and may be out of date by the time you read them. We make no guarantee that content is complete, current, or error-free, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on it. Please double-check important details with the provider or official source.

8. A note for readers

These disclosures are provided in the spirit of transparency and in line with advertising-disclosure guidance such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines and similar rules elsewhere. Our goal is simple: you should always be able to tell what’s an honest recommendation, what’s an affiliate link, and what’s a paid placement.
