Terms of Use

Effective 17 July 2026 · Last updated 17 July 2026

Welcome to Digital Nomads Korea. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Hoppers Inc. and govern your access to and use of digitalnomadskorea.com, our newsletter, our community, and our events (together, the “Services”). Please read them carefully.

Digital Nomads Korea (“DNK”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a brand operated by Hoppers Inc., a company established in the Republic of Korea. Digital Nomads Korea is not a separate legal entity. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who can use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your place of residence, to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide to us is accurate and complete.

2. Changes to these Terms and to the Services

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect changes to our Services or for legal reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We may also add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

3. Using the Services

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. When using the Services, you agree not to:

4. Our content and intellectual property

The Services and their content — including text, guides, articles, graphics, logos, and the “Digital Nomads Korea” name and brand — are owned by Hoppers Inc. or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited licence above, we do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Services or our content. You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link back, but you may not otherwise use our brand or content without our prior written permission.

5. Content you submit

The Services let you submit information and content — for example, when you complete our community application form, contact us, respond to our newsletter, or take part in the community. You are responsible for what you submit, and you represent that you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate and not unlawful, infringing, or harmful.

You keep ownership of the content you submit. By submitting it, you grant Hoppers Inc. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate and promote the Services and the community — for example, to review your application, run events, or (with your permission where required) feature community stories. You can ask us to remove content you submitted by contacting us.

6. Newsletter and communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter or community updates, you agree to receive emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. How we handle your contact details is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Community, meetups, and events

We organise and promote meetups, workations, and events, some of which are run on third-party platforms (such as event or messaging services) or by third-party partners. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. You are responsible for your own conduct, safety, travel, insurance, and belongings. We may set community guidelines and may remove or decline anyone whose conduct we consider harmful or inappropriate. Where an event is run or hosted by a third party, that third party’s terms also apply.

8. Third-party links, affiliate links, and sponsored content

The Services contain links to third-party websites, tools, and services, and may include affiliate links or sponsored or partner content. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, products, or practices. We may earn a commission or other compensation when you use certain links or offers. This does not change what you pay, and it does not determine our editorial opinions. For more detail, see our Disclosures.

9. No professional advice

Our content — including anything about visas, immigration, taxes, banking, housing, healthcare, or legal and financial matters — is provided for general information only and is not professional, legal, immigration, tax, financial, or medical advice. Rules change, and everyone’s situation is different. Always verify current requirements with the relevant official authority (for example, immigration offices or embassies) and consult a qualified professional before making decisions. We are not responsible for actions you take based on our content.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content is complete or current.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hoppers Inc. and the people who work with us will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hoppers Inc. and its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access to the Services (including the community and newsletter) at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or where we need to for legal or security reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — will continue to apply.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Hoppers Inc. agree that the courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

15. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclosures, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
